Back in the Hospital - click on pic to enlarge

Here we were this morning waiting for his echo gram of his heart. He was feeling so-so at this point. His blood came back lower than yesterday but we were hoping we'd make it till tomorrow before anything (IF anything) was going to happen. So we took Dad to lunch, got home and when he was burning up with a 102 fever, we put our bags back in the car and he and I drove back down the hospital AGAIN! It's about 25 miles one way -- so we've driven our share today.
Here he is with Nurse Sandy who says Tommy looks just like her brother when he was Tommy's age. He LOVES this car -- we walk rounds and rounds around while racking up the miles on this race car.
Nurse Sandy getting another listen to his heart.
Oh good! My happy Tommy is back! After getting a fever of over 102, we finally got it down and he was feeling MUCH better.

Now it's nearly 10:30 PM and his temp is starting to rise again - typical for the that to happen at night and he's not drinking much. I'd guess he'll get an IV of fluid tomorrow and we will be here for a few days. <><

Good morning lttle man,
Sure does my heart good to see that smile. You are a one little trooper. You bring a new meaning to living strong. I pray for all of this to be over soon. You and your mom are truly going to have one special bond, not that you don't already. I hope Sunday will be a good day for you so that you can spend a very special father's day with your dad. We love you little man and we will double time those prayers so that you can get well faster. Give sissy a kiss for me and one giant hug goes out to you and your family. :)
Love

Good morning . . . . . . . . . Mr. Race Car Driver!
You sure look happy in your little hot rod.
Ask the nurse for a special drink filled with maggic to make you feel better. Apple juice can put a smile on your face. Ella drinks it everyday in the car and just loves it.
Somebody has a birthday pretty soon . . do you know who that might be?? What very very special thing would you like this year?
I love your night shirt - - you look like a doctor.
Sending lots of love to all of you.

Hi Tommy...I called you earlier today, but you were sleeping. I was bummed we couldn't chat, but glad you were getting your sleep. I made you a special picture at summer school. I'll mail it to you. I hope you're feeling better. Give yourself a kiss, hug, and an atomic wedgie from ME! Love, Caleb
